Come celebrate the spring with an evening of folk music and baked goods with the band Pumpkin Bread, which features Aidan Scrimgeour, a graduate of the Salem Public Schools.
Pumpkin Bread is a 5-piece band based in Boston, MA that plays original acoustic music influenced by Americana folk songs and Celtic fiddling. The Boston Globe describes Pumpkin Bread as "pure progressive folk fusion." The band formed in September of 2016 and developed their unique sound in kitchen jams, traditional music sessions, and soup nights in the Boston area folk scene. Pumpkin Bread released their first self-titled album in May of 2017 in collaboration with Nine Athens Music and producer Yann Falquet. The group is known for dynamic and captivating live performances that play off the energy of the room. In November of 2017, the band opened for Keith Murphy and Maeve Gilchrist as a part of Brian O’Donovan’s backroom series at The Burren in Somerville. In January of 2018, the group was featured at the Boston Celtic Music Festival. In March of 2018, the band embarks on a tour of the east coast, beginning with a show at Club Passim in Cambridge.
