SEF is focused on promoting community awareness about education related issues and about public education in Salem. This will happen through focused grassroots efforts and community outreach strategies, community-wide forums and events, parent outreach, and through collaboration with local city government and the school district administration. In addition we will partner with SPS, the city of Salem, local non-profits, and businesses to develop programs, raise funds and engage the community. Our goal is to advance public knowledge and investment in public education in Salem, and leverage scarce resources through strategic partnerships.
Volunteers are the backbone of a successful non-profit organization. Join a committee or help out at a fund raising event. We are currently looking for photographers, Spanish translators, writers, and other talented people to support our efforts.
