Beth Doiro, Board Member

After adventuring around the country, Beth and her husband settled about 20 years ago in Salem, halfway between Beth’s home state of Connecticut and her Husband’s home state of New Hampshire.  Beth has a B.A. in English from the University of New Hampshire and a Masters in Library and Information Science from the University of Washington. While the English degree fostered Beth’s love of fiction reading, the dream publishing job didn’t materialize. Instead, she leaned on her high school job experience and started work in health care billing which led to Medicare eligibility, and then finally to Research Administration. Beth spent the last 20 years growing her career in Research Administration at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), leaving there as Director.

Attempting work-life balance, Beth left BIDMC to become a  Senior Associate at Huron Consulting Group. Being a Mom of 2 spirited ADHD school-age sons, Beth found herself speaking with school administrators quite frequently. Beth had to learn about how to advocate for her kids’ academic and socio-emotional education needs. Additionally, she has seen the benefits of non-traditional and/or additional support programs that have benefited her family and helped her children to thrive.
